Kingston – Jamaica

Hi Folks:
Since the beginning of January, I am in Kingston where I am recording my new album. In this new adventure, I am working with Jon Elizalde, Xabi Solano and Xabi Pery. We have been finishing off during 2005 the songs that will be on the album. In addition to these Basque musicians, Jamaican musicians have also taken part to the recording sessions we made at TUFF GONG International studios:

Drums: Wayne "C#" Clarke (Steel Pulse, Shaggy)
Bass: Daniel "Axe Man" Thompson (Black Uhuru)
Guitar: Wayne Armond (Jimmy Cliff)
Keyboards: Franklin "Bubbler" Thompson (Black Uhuru)
Percussions: Uzziah "Sticky" Thompson (Sly&Robbie)
Saxophone: Dean Frasier (Rita Marley, Luciano)
Trumpet: David Madden (Skatalites)
Chorus: Keisha Patterson (Sinead O'Connor), Leba Hibberts (Toots&The Maytals), Pam Hall (Fab5)
Sound engineer: Errol Brown
Producer: Clive Hunt
Chorus in two songs: I-Threes (Rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt)

Now, we are mixing all the songs at Shaggy’s BIG YARD studio and we expect to finish the master around mid-February. The album will probably be released this spring.

Before saying you goodbye, I would like to send a big hug and Salam Agur to all the people who made possible the METAK and KONTRAKALEA project.
Success to self-management and independence!

Big hugs for everybody

Fermin Muguruza
