Hi Folks,
Spring has arrived to Euskal Herria (Basque Country) nicer then ever welcoming ETA’s permanent ceasefire and rearming itself with words for ideas war. From this cultural activism front, I work hard these days in order to fulfil all the commitments in the dates announced.

First single and video
As you might have seen entering the website, we have already chosen the album’s cover and if everything goes as we expect, we will release this week the first single which gives the name to the album: “Euskal Herria Jamaika Clash” and the video of the song, realised in 3D, will also be available in the website of the Basque written newspaper BERRIA:www.berria.info

Documentary
We are also mixing the documentary about the shock and/or encounter between cultures which were present in Kingston during the album recording. The Basque television channel Euskal Telebista 1 will broadcast the documentary for the first time the last week of April. We are also talking with TV3 (Catalan channel) and TVG (Galician channel) to check the possibility of broadcasting it in those channels.

Date of release and press conference
We still maintain the release date of the album on May 4th but the day before, on May 3rd, at noon, we will give a press conference at the Cultural Centre Koldo Mitxelena of Donostia (San Sebastian) where besides to share with press this event, we will celebrate the release of the CD. Anyone of you who would like to come is invited.

TALKA in movement
With the release of the disc in May, new changes will also be made in this page as the incorporation of more videos. The first video-clip will be available and also the second one which will be ready for that moment. But the most important newness will deal with the internet link available on this page that TALKA Records shop will have and where you will be able to find all my solo discs, albums of all the bands I have participated with (Kortatu, Negu Gorriak, FM eta DUT) and of the Kontrakalea label. Until now, Karmele was in charge of doing this task, at the beginning through Esan Ozenki website and then through musikametak one (a big kiss for her for her dedication and attention towards all the people who were interested in our activities), but as from today, Kiti, who is known by a lot of you because she was at the Kontrakalea Acció table in Barcelona and always on first line with the Bad Sound System, will be in charge of this responsibility.
